Course Description

In the Essential Skills Series program, you will be equipped to enter and participate in the evaluation field. You will learn to describe core evaluation concepts and techniques, from the planning process to standards, and methods for data collection and analysis. Using case studies and other adult learning methods, you will develop the knowledge and skills needed to plan and conduct evaluations.

While evaluation experience is not a prerequisite, having a background in related fields such as program planning/management or social science research will be beneficial. Designed by the Canadian Evaluation Society, the Essential Skills Series covers a full range of evaluation topics at an introductory level.
