We’re proud to offer a selection of training programs funded through the StrongerBC future skills grant, a key initiative that supports British Columbians in preparing for high-demand jobs and navigating changing industries.

2026/2027 funding decisions have been guided by a focus on:

Programs aligned with high long-term labour market demand, government priorities and the Province’s Look West Strategy, as well as continued Care Economy priorities;
Access, inclusion and labour market mobility, including regional access for learners in rural, remote and Indigenous communities, workplace capacity in equity, diversity, inclusion and Indigenous cultural safety, and pathways for skilled newcomers; and
Institutional delivery capacity and available funding, with final allocations pro-rated based on approved amounts and budget to support flexibility and maximize the use of available funding.

Programs supporting government priorities

Government priority programming supports a broader range of approved programs and gives institutions flexibility to shift funding to higher-demand approved offerings, helping reduce underspending and ensure funding reaches as many workers as possible.

Programs supporting highly qualified professionals

In addition to the core future skills grant stream, the Ministry has introduced a new Highly Qualified Professional / Look West stream for 2026/27. Together, this dual-stream approach balances broad access to short-term training with targeted investment in highly qualified professionals and technical workers in priority sectors.
