Course Description

This course is designed to prepare you for graduate work in accounting. You will learn accounting concepts and conventions without the use of debits and credits, with a focus on the importance of financial statements and managerial decision-making.

The course demonstrates how to record, summarize, and analyze an economic entity's financial transactions and explores effective ways to communicate financial information to both internal users, such as management, and external users, such as investors and creditors.

Course Outline

In this course, you will:

  • Understand accounting concepts and conventions
  • Emphasize the importance of financial statements
  • Record, summarize, and analyze financial transactions
  • Communicate financial information effectively to internal users (management)
  • Communicate financial information effectively to external users (investors and creditors)
  • Explore managerial decision-making processes

Through practical exercises and real-world examples, you will gain a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices, preparing you for advanced studies and professional work in accounting.
