Course Description

This course combines the art and science of project management with a focus on the art. You will learn to deliver projects on time, on budget, and within scope by effectively managing relationships. Explore project management from the perspectives of stakeholders, project sponsors, team members, and other interested parties. Research shows that early identification and involvement of stakeholders enhances their perception of project success.

This course provides a solid understanding of how to gain and sustain stakeholder engagement, reduce resistance, and manage with persuasion, even without traditional authority.

Course Outline

In this course, you will gain insights into:

  • Maximizing time and increasing return on investment through leading practices and trends
  • Understanding project management in a broader organizational context
  • Taking into account change and stakeholder needs
  • Using project management tools and templates effectively
  • You will learn how to manage relationships and stakeholder engagement, ensuring project success through active participation and practical exercises.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Implement best practices in selecting, supporting, and developing strong stakeholder engagement
  • Identify and adapt stakeholder management strategies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Recognize the importance of project risk and mitigation strategies, including project and stakeholder risks
  • Assess the level of change impact and its effects on end users
  • Effectively lead and/or participate within a team environment
