Course Description

Knowing what to say and how to say it is key to making the best impression with the media. This interactive workshop covers what you need to know to confidently manage media interviews, get media attention and cope with crisis communications. We cover media literacy; discuss what journalists need; and prepare you to speak in emergencies, proactive and reactive situations, and for expert interviews. On-camera practice and critiques help hone your interview presence and presence of mind, even in stressful situations.

  • Knowing the differences between various media formats including print, radio, tv and online, and how (and when) to connect with each

  • Learn the difference between proactive vs. reactive responses and staying on key messages under pressure, as well as knowing what to expect in documentary/expert interviews

  • Practical hands-on experience on camera with experts to guide you
