Course Description

Course A (Global Leadership): This course helps students explore what it means to be an effective leader in a global context. Through interactive workshops and team-based activities, students will develop essential leadership skills, reflect on their own strengths and values, and practice applying these skills in diverse settings. They will also examine the role of culture in communication, leadership and teamwork, gaining valuable insights to support their growth as confident, adaptable leaders in today’s interconnected world.

Course Outline

This 2-week Leadership Academy course consists of two units. Each unit is one week long. 

Unit 1: Global Leadership

This unit provides an overview of effective leadership in a global setting. Students will learn what leadership skills and qualities are valued by a variety of experts and learn how to apply these skills in team settings whey there will have a chance to both lead and participate in highly interactive workshops. In addition, they will have a chance to explore the impact of culture on teamwork and leadership by developing a team-based Culture Project.

Unit 2: Self-Discovery

In this unit, students will continue to explore leadership in a more personal way by reflecting on their own skills, strengths, and values and how they enhance their ability to lead effectively. They will gain practical experience leading and participating in teams and create a Personal Leadership Plan to apply these concepts and skills outside the classroom.

  • Demonstrate leadership in modeling values and practices that encourage participation and mutual success within teams.
  • Develop awareness of global issues and opportunities. 
  • Develop multicultural sensitivity.

Prerequisites

This program is designed for students with at least an intermediate level of English, equivalent to CEFR B1 or above. Take our free online English assessment to see if you are ready to join our program.
