Course Description

This course is intended for new and experienced facilitators who wish to take their skills to a new level. You'll receive a structured process and facilitation tools that can be applied to any type of session where active participation, meaningful and productive engagement is critical.

Throughout the course, you'll plan and conduct sessions and receive feedback from the instructor and colleagues.

Course Outline

In this course, you'll:

  • Assess your facilitation skills by understanding your own strengths and areas of improvement
  • Plan and prepare a facilitated session
  • Open the session to ensure clarity and to get attention
  • Manage your time effectively to allow for discussion while meeting objectives
  • Use facilitation tools and techniques appropriately
  • Manage group dynamics to minimize disruption
  • Close the session to ensure clarity for the path forward leaving attendees united and satisfied
  • Document the session information by recording and distributing decisions
  • Gauge your style of facilitation
  • Practice! Practice, Practice!
