Course Description

This course is designed for experienced coaches seeking to expand their ability to mentor and develop less experienced coaches by focusing on defined industry competencies. You will explore the distinct role of mentor coaching, as compared to coach supervision, while deepening your understanding of coaching competencies and effective feedback practices.

You will engage with the updated ICF Competency Model, learning how to provide oral and written feedback that fosters self-awareness and improves performance. The course also introduces you to key concepts related to the ICF PCC Markers, offering insights into the standards for professional coaching.

Course Outline

In this course, you will:

  • Explore the ICF competencies in coaching and understand their application in mentor coaching
  • Learn to deliver feedback that recognizes strengths and areas for growth in coaching performance
  • Examine how to foster a coach’s self-awareness and openness to receiving feedback
  • Identify areas for growth and improvement in another coach’s practice
  • Practice self-management to ensure feedback is in service of the coach’s development
  • Review the ICF PCC Markers and how they relate to professional standards in coaching
