CDEV081 - Foundations of Mindfulness Practice
Course Description
In this world of hyperconnectivity, the act of slowing down at home and work may feel like a long-forgotten luxury. Mindfulness meditations and the attitudes associated with the practices can help us to pause and notice our inner and outer worlds. From this place of pausing, we can then make decisions with clarity which will be skillful for ourselves, others and the planet at home, in community and in workplace settings.
In this interactive and experiential course, learners will gain a practice-based overview of the Integrated Mindfulness Certificate (IMC) and will have an opportunity to explore the basic principles and tenets of mindfulness meditation while experiencing various core practices in a virtual group setting. The course combines online group learning with space and time for self-reflection between sessions, including large and small group work, readings, and journaling.
