Course Description

Develops essential leadership skills through interactive workshops and team activities. Encourages students to reflect on their personal strengths, values, and goals to improve their ability to lead. Gives students practical experience in leading and working in teams. Students finish the course by creating a Personal Leadership Plan to apply these skills beyond the classroom.

Course Outline

In this course, you will: 

  • Explore leadership at the personal level
  • Reflect on your own skills, strengths, and values
  • Identify how these strengths and values can enhance your ability to lead effectively
  • Gain practical experience leading and participating in teams
  • Create a Personal Leadership Plan to apply theses concepts and skills beyond the classroom 

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe your personal skills, strengths, and values and explain how they relate to effective leadership
  • Use teamwork skills by both leading and contributing in a group setting
  • Develop a Personal Leadership Plan to guide your future growth as a leader
  • Demonstrate how self-reflection can improve your leadership ability

Prerequisites
