Explore the evolving landscape of digital innovation and its impact on organizational cybersecurity. Participants will gain essential insights into how emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, quantum computing, and automation introduce new risks—and how organizations can proactively assess, manage, and mitigate these risks. Through practical frameworks, case studies, and guided activities, the course emphasizes anticipatory thinking, compliance, and strategic decision-making for safer technology adoption and resilient business operations. 

Course Outline

  • Develop an understanding of the system/software development lifecycle (SDLC) and security integration 
  • Review compliance and regulatory requirements across technology lifecycles 
  • Assess cybersecurity at each SDLC phase   
  • Examine technology adoption models and cybersecurity decision points 
  • Identify and research vulnerabilities in current technologies 
  • Manage third-party risks and evaluate new technology procurement 
  • Explore operational benefits and risks of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, quantum, IoT)
