Course Description

Grounded in a social justice lens, participants will critically reflect on inclusion, evaluate how space, relationships, and routines influence belonging, and engage with community supports. Through rich activities, personal reflection, and practical resources, participants develop tools to create welcoming, equitable environments that support children, families, and staff across diverse early learning communities. 

Course Outline

  • Explore what inclusivity looks like in ECE settings
  • Discover how space, place, and time impact inclusion
  • Identify the value in building connections to community supports and partnerships
  • Practice daily mindfulness and grounding practices
  • Take part in policy and routine analysis
  • Collaborate with peers through reflection 
  • Demonstrate inclusive leadership practices
