Workplace innovation is now widely recognized as crucial to organizational survival and growth. This course introduces you to the personal attitudes and skills that develop creative confidence and competence in the workplace.

This highly experiential course is based on sound research yet is practical in nature. You will explore your own personal creativity and the crucial role of experimentation, risk taking and failure tolerance to the creative process.

Course Outline

In this course, you will:

  • Examine how personal history impacts your creative confidence and competence
  • Explore the role of experimentation, risk-taking, and failure tolerance in developing creative confidence and competence
  • Learn and develop creativity skills such as networking, observing, questioning, and associational thinking
  • Identify past projects that utilized creativity skills and begin developing a personal creativity portfolio

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Identify events that have shaped your current level of creative confidence
  • Understand strategies and skills to enhance creativity in the workplace
  • Feel more confident in using creativity in the workplace
