Program Overview:
The Early Childhood Education Leadership Micro-credential equips students with the practical leadership, business, and administrative skills required to manage and grow high-quality, sustainable child care programs. The program is designed for current or aspiring child care managers, directors, and operators looking to advance their careers in any evolving early learning system.
Through applied, project-based learning and flexible online delivery, learners will build essential competencies in areas such as small business operations, financial planning, human resource management, systems thinking, ethics, and Indigenous-informed leadership.

Micro-credential Outcomes:
Upon completion of this micro-credential, students will be able to:
- Apply foundational leadership, governance, and management principles to effectively oversee child care programs, including competencies in financial planning, human resource management, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrate inclusive and relational leadership practices that center ethics of care, intercultural understanding, and collaborative growth to foster supportive, responsive, and equitable early childhood education environments
- Integrate systems thinking and community engagement strategies to advocate for inclusive practices, strengthen organizational capacity, and contribute to the sustainable development of early learning programs in diverse contexts
Delivery Format:
You will engage in blended online learning, combining synchronous and asynchronous delivery methods. This approach ensures a dynamic learning environment where you can participate in real-time virtual interactions while also having the flexibility to access materials and activities at your own pace.
