Course Description

Create a more engaging, collaborative, and inclusive way of leading and interacting with those around you. Learn a model that you can apply immediately, resulting in improved decision-making, greater independence, initiative, and contribution to a more collaborative, engaged workplace.

This experiential course teaches you basic coaching skills and provides real-time practice through the “coach approach” model.

Course Outline

In this course, you will:

  • Recognize the principles behind coaching and how coaching differs from other types of developmental and management approaches
  • Distinguish between when to coach and when not to coach
  • Integrate coaching skills into professional conversations
  • Increase self-awareness and ability to self-reflect
  • Understand and apply basic coaching skills

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Practice coaching skills and receive feedback in a group setting
  • Debrief and coach on the experiences and challenges encountered when applying new skills in the workplace
  • Review, gauge, and measure progress and implementation of coaching skills
  • Obtain feedback in a safe, collaborative environment
