Natural Asset Management - ONLINE

Canadian communities face challenges of declining infrastructure quality and diminishing health and resilience of many ecosystems, a challenge made far more pressing by climate change. To address this, leading local governments are starting to identify, value and account for natural assets in their financial planning and asset management programs as a means to develop deliver core services sustainably through a climate resilient green infrastructure. This four-week online course covers core concepts, the most recent case examples and latest approaches to municipal natural asset management, and is delivered by the Executive Director of the Municipal Natural Assets Initiative. Introduction to the Cultural Diversity within Indigenous Territories throughout BC - ONLINE

Experience a rich day-long exploration of British Columbia’s Indigenous Cultures, a heritage spanning thousands of years and deeply rooted in the natural world. This gathering will serve to foster a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding the governance structures, cultural practices and traditions of B.C.’s First Peoples. Academic Writing and Critical Thinking - ONLINE

This course is designed to help learners continue to hone their writing, research and critical thinking skills. Develop a working understanding of the writing process, the rhetorical principles of voice and purpose that guide what and how one writes, and the basics of assessing research and academic argument. All assignments will be formatted and cited using APA conventions. Receive on-going support for your writing assignments, including comments and guidance on revisions and drafts.
