Business Essentials for Emerging Global Leaders

Designed for aspiring leaders seeking an immersive international education experience, this one semester program blends professional and personal leadership, career coaching, team-based projects and field trips, and exposure to RRU’s award-winning Learning, Teaching and Research Model alongside business and workplace English.

Foundations of Effective Business Communication

This intensive one-semester program focuses on the development of essential business communication skills alongside an integrated English language skills program. This program helps students establish a solid foundation in business communication and can be taken on its own or as a stepping stone to Business Essential for Emerging Global Leaders.

English for Academic Purposes

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programs are designed for students looking to develop their English language skills to help meet their personal, professional or academic goals.

Online Summer Intercultural Communication and Leadership Academy

Participants will strengthen their English language skills and learn about Canadian culture through the exploration of a variety of themes related to intercultural communication and leadership. Live sessions will focus on interaction and the expression of ideas, while asynchronous assignments and exercises will further develop participants' use of the language and provide additional opportunities for interaction with classmates and the facilitator. Throughout each module, participants will engage in a digital storytelling project to creatively share their opinions and experiences. Guest speakers will include Royal Roads faculty and industry experts who can contribute firsthand knowledge from their areas of expertise.

Summer Leadership Academy

Summer Leadership Academy students will gain leadership skills while heightening English and intercultural competencies. Blending experiential and challenge-based learning, this program actively engages students to apply their learning to actionable projects in teams with the objective of making positive change in the world, both locally and globally. Designed for students 19+ years of age with moderate English language ability.
