Embark on a journey to enhance your leadership skills. Whether you're a formal leader or someone who leads informally, this course invites you to delve into dialogue and reflection about leadership and your personal values.

Course Outline

In this course, you will:

  • Enhance self-awareness and self-management using the renowned CliftonStrengths (previously StrengthsFinder 2.0) assessment to uncover your strengths and devise strategies to leverage them effectively
  • Explore six distinct leadership styles, learning how to employ them to educate, engage, motivate, and inspire others

Learner Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand what leadership means to you
  • Articulate your core values and understand how they shape your leadership approach
  • Apply a strengths-based approach to personal and team development
  • Demonstrate insight into Emotional Intelligence fundamentals, with a focus on self-awareness and self-management
  • Explore the practical application of six key leadership styles within the workplace

Required Assessment (additional cost): CliftonStrengths Top 5

  • Students can either purchase the assessment directly from the Gallup website or buy a new textbook that includes a valid code for the assessment. Do not purchase a used copy as the assessment code will not work.
