TFAC050 - Instructional Skills Workshop
Course Description
The Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) is a three-day face-to-face course focused on developing and reinvigorating teaching skills for face-to-face learning. ISW is a participatory workshop that affirms the instructional techniques you already do well, while encouraging you to take risks and try more. You will learn and practice effective teaching skills to create an active and engaging learning environment for your students. You will see innovative activities modeled by facilitators and other participants. You will facilitate three ten-minute “mini-lessons”, give and receive peer feedback, and learn from others’ examples.
Please note that our ISW includes a self-paces online learning module of preparatory learning (approx. 5 hours) that all participants are expected to complete before Day 1.
