Enhancing Performance through Feedback - ONLINE

In today’s fast-paced work environment, we need to continually learn and evolve our collective skills to ensure effectiveness and success. As managers, our responsibility is to support and develop our people to be fully engaged and working to their full potential. Good managers know how to provide feedback that is conducive to learning. A critical skill in achieving this is the art of providing a balance of reinforcing and constructive feedback with the goal of promoting mutual insight. This three-week online course will overview the facets of effective feedback and provide opportunities for hands-on practice of these skills.

  • How feedback contributes to ongoing learning
  • How to cultivate an environment that supports feedback
  • Assess your own feedback motivations, competencies and skills
  • Practice how to offer balanced, constructive feedback
  • Prepare for a feedback session back in your workplace

  • Understand how feedback is linked to high performance
  • Identify one’s potential barriers and anxieties around providing feedback
  • Learn strategies for providing balanced feedback
  • Practice providing feedback with peers
  • Prepare a plan of action for future feedback sessions
