Admission Requirements

If you intend to complete the 1 + 1 Program Option, you must meet the Admission Requirements below:

  • Completion of a four-year undergraduate degree in arts, business, or environmental studies (or another acceptable alternative, including either a masters or doctoral level degree), plus some related experience, typically a minimum of two years' work in relevant leadership, management, communication, training, marketing, or consultant roles, etc.
  • *Minimum English language proficiency of Academic IELTS 6.0, Duolingo 105, or TOEFL iBT 79

*Students who complete Global Workforce Skills with a passing grade in all courses will be considered to have met the English language requirements for the Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Organizational Leadership.

Application Requirements

With 1 + 1, you only need to provide two essential documents:

  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary (higher education) institutions currently or previously attended
  • Detailed résumé

Flexible Admission

  • Applicants who do not meet the standard admission requirements need a minimum of four full-time years' relevant work experience and some post-secondary education.
  • Applications will be adjudicated based on a consideration of standard supporting documents (academic transcripts and resumé), with a broad focus on work, life and volunteer experience as well as any academic work or credentials.

All flexible admission applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

How to Apply

 
Step 1: Apply to Global Workforce Skills

If you're interested in pursuing the 1+1 Program, your first step is to apply for Global Workforce Skills. Here's how to get started:

  • Complete your online application for Global Workforce Skills.
  • During the application process, indicate your intention to complete the 1+1 Program option.
Step 2: Admission to Global Workforce Skills

Upon successful admission to the Global Workforce Skills program, you will receive detailed instructions on how to proceed with the second step of your application, the Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Organizational Leadership.

Step 3: Apply to the Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Organizational Leadership

You will need to submit additional documentation with your application for the Graduate Diploma, which is the second part of the 1+1 Program. The good news is that the application fee will be waived, and you'll only be required to pay one tuition deposit for your two-year program. 1 + 1 applicants are not required to provide an official English language proficiency score report, reference letters, or personal statement.

Plan ahead! While the admissions team strive to complete applications within a shorter timeframe, please allow up to 10 weeks in some cases for admission decisions regarding your application to the Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Organizational Leadership.

Step 4: Admission to the Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Organizational Leadership

If you are offered admission into the Graduate Diploma in Project Management and Organization Leadership program, you will be required to pay one $5,000 tuition deposit to secure your seat in both components of the dual-credential program. The tuition deposit is a pre-payment towards your program tuition and will be applied to the Graduate Diploma portion of your studies. You will receive one Letter of Acceptance for Global Workforce Skills + the Graduate Diploma program. Following your submission of the Offer Acceptance Form and payment of the tuition deposit, your Global Workforce Skills registration will be processed and you will receive an invoice for this portion of your program. Payment for your first term’s tuition for Global Workforce Skills is due 28 calendar days prior to the start of the program.
